Terms and Policy

Time Arrangement

[1] There are two typical contracts for the lenght of assignment in China.


(1) "One-year" contract: 40 weeks, 20 weeks for fall semester and 20 weeks for spring semester. Note: while in "one year" contract the actual time of working will be less than 40 weeks due to the fact that the very last 3 weeks are for exams, no class instruction is needed.

(2) "Half-year" contract: 20 weeks, again the actual working time will be less than 20 weeks.

[2] Internship/ co-op schedule:
From beginning of Sept. to middle of Jan.;
From end of Feb. to end of June ( including winter vacation for 4 weeks)


Compensation for Internship / "co-op" assignment

[1]¥3000 allowance per month (for food...etc.). If you do your own cooking, ¥750 per month should be enough.
[2] Free housing - western style apartment, single or shared, values roughly¥2000 per month, including furniture, micorwave, refrigerator, washing machine, stove, air conditioning, shower.
[3] For "one year" contract,¥6000 airfare compensation will be given at the end of the contract if there is no contract violation. It is ¥3000 for "half-year" contract.
[4] Upon arriving, a new cell phone will be given, plus ¥30-¥50 phone fee.
[5] Employer will provider accident death life insurance inside China.

Supporting Services

[1] Arriving and departure services at the airport.
[2] Daily life assistance, if needed.
[3] Coordination on any unexpected issues in workplace or at home.
[4] Documentation assistance, the employer will provide necessary paperwork that may be needed by the individuals or the universities, as the assignment in China can be considered as an international internship or "co-op" experience. 

Extra-curricular Activities
Chinese culture activities once or twice a month, usually in the weekends. Such as, cuision tour, Dujiangyan , Leshan Giant Buddha , Taouism Mountain Qingcheng , Buddhist Mountain Emei , to name a few, but don't forget to see gongfu pandas at Chengdu panda center . Local activities are free (cost covered by the program administration fee).
 
Fees of Program

[1] Program Application fee $100 USD, to be paid at the time you submit your package application materials.

[2] Program Administration, Documentation and Consulting fee $1600 USD, to be paid at the time we give you the invitation letter, by which you can apply for the visa.

In the highly unlikely case that the visa is denied even after a few times of re-try, $1600 will be fully refunded to the applicant.

$1600 is for cover the following items and services.

1) All the fees that employer has to pay, charged by Chinese government, within Chinese border, including, but not limited to

      a) Professional background evaluation required by government policy.
      b) Invitation Letter
      c) Residence Permit

2) Consulting and document handling
3) Document Translation (English to Chinese) and Authentication
4) FedEx and international communication
5) Job placement and program management.
6) Legal, visa, and travel assistance.
